Our Mission is…

To provide the churches and Christians of the Middle East and North Africa with an opportunity to witness to Jesus Christ through inspirational, informative, and educational television services.

Vision...

To see a growing Church in the Middle East and North Africa, confident in Christian faith and witness, serving the community and contributing to the good of society and culture.

In more detail...

By depicting Middle Eastern Christianity in its many forms, the idea of being Middle Eastern and Christian is validated, reinforcing the day-to-day work and witness of the Arabic and Farsi and Turkish-speaking church in the many countries where it has been marginalized.  Open-minded members of Middle Eastern society come to realize that the politics, morality and lifestyles of “the West” (as portrayed by popular Western movies and television) are not synonymous with Christianity.   Love and forgiveness are taught and made a part of all programming.  The viewers see Christianity in a whole new light, not to be compared with "Western programming".

SAT-7 educates, informs, inspires and motivates the Middle Eastern Christians in the region. It encourages church attendance and stimulates spiritual growth and hopefully will reduce the emigration of Christians from the region. More than 175 million Middle Eastern viewers have access to satellite television, but barely half of the 430 million in the region can read a newspaper.   With the population in the region growing in many countries by 1 million every month, even basic education cannot keep up.  Due to this widespread illiteracy rate, satellite is the most popular form of entertainment in the region.   Growth of dish ownership is phenomenal, with government attempts to ban it proving ineffective.  Also, the quality of local and national television keeps it from being competitive.
