SAT-7 Adds Channels

 

SAT-7, which began broadcasting in 1996 for two hours a week, has recently added two new full time (24/7) channels, making a total of three, and an impressive 504 hours of broadcast time per week. These channels can be seen throughout the Middle East and North Africa on satellite television, where there is a population of about 350 million people. Many of these people live in countries where there is little religious freedom.
The three channels are:

SAT-7 Arabic, the original channel, caries a wide variety of programming, mostly produced in SAT-7’s own studios in Lebanon and Egypt. Program types include dramas, quiz shows, music videos, teaching programs, women’s
programs, and youth programs.

SAT-7 Kids, which was once a block of programming on the main Arabic channel, has expanded to its own channel. The great benefit of this is that since SAT-7’s signal covers five time zones, children’s programming is now available at just the right time, regardless of where the children live, because it’s always on. SAT-7 Kids gives viewers an alternative of wholesome programming compared to the programming on some other channels which glorifies violence and tries to recruit suicide bombers.
