Dennis Wiens was
raised in West Africa where his parents worked in church
development and training for 38 years.
Dennis' wife, Cindy, was
raised in Omaha, NE. Her father was one of the founders
of Grace University. She graduated from Central High
School, Omaha, NE and did a two-year course at Grace
University.
Dennis
and Cindy have served in a variety of
ministry capacities in France, Mali and Cote
d’Ivoire. Some of those ministries include Bible
school education, field leadership, urban church
planting, dorm parenting, guest house ministry,
and media. During home assignments, Dennis and
Cindy served as Missionary-in-Residence at
Calvary Bible College and at Grace University.
Dennis helped pioneer the FM radio project in
Mali, using specially-designed solar-powered FM radio
stations. There are now 42 FM Christian
development FM radio stations, and several
recording studios in Mali. He continues to be a
consultant for the on-going Mali Media project.
With SAT-7, Dennis serves as Director of
Church Connections for the Western USA. With
his wealth of experience and knowledge he
enjoys participating in local church
conferences, speaking opportunities, and teaching about
cross-cultural ministry.
