Job Title: Mid-Level Ministry Representative
Reports To: VP of Development
Job Status: Full Time (40 hours)
OVERVIEW
- The Mid-Level Ministry Representative works virtually and is a key person in helping to extend the mission and vision of the SAT-7 ministry with mid-level ministry partners.
- The mid-level portfolio of 400-600 ministry partners will be provided by SAT-7 and will be made up of individuals, small businesses, and churches.
- The Mid-Level Ministry Representative will be responsible for strategically working to cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective and active mid-level ministry partners resulting in an annual revenue range of $1 Million to $1.25 Million.

EXECUTIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build relationships with mid-level ministry partners to ascertain their interests in the ministry incorporating standard cultivation tactics which include both reactive (i.e. thank you for a gift) and proactive (i.e. regular calls, sending reports, and select engagement opportunities) activities or “touches.”
- Effectively use ministry partner management technology and other resources to assess giving potential and track ministry partner communications and progress toward fundraising goals.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with ministry partners by phone, handwritten correspondence, email, video testimonies, and web communications.
- The first-year goal for weekly approved “touches” is in the range of 70 to 80. Of these touches, there is an expectation for average weekly goal of at least 15-25 live conversations (by phone or video conferencing). Of those live conversations, the expectation is that this position will invite an average of 5 mid-level ministry partners per week to renew or increase their giving with SAT-7. Activity goals will adjust annually based on gift revenue and retention rates.
- Pray with ministry partners when appropriate.
- Identify relationships with these ministry partners that would be appropriate to pass on to major ministry partner development team caseloads.
- Achieve, maintain, and report monthly activity goals.
- Be a team player, working well with other development staff to help achieve team goals.
- Participate in All Staff and Development team meetings, most being done virtually, but 2-3 times per year in person.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the SAT-7 USA Vice President of Development or President.
REQUIREMENTS
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a mature, growing Christian faith as defined by agreement with the Nicene Creed and Lausanne Covenant.
- Recognizing that every employee of SAT-7 USA is called by God to this ministry to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Mid-Level Ministry Representative shall (1) take advantage of opportunities to lead and participate in Christian prayer with fellow staff, donors, constituents, visitors, and affiliates of the ministry, (2) always be prepared to give a reason for the hope you have in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:15) and take advantage of any opportunities presented to share the Gospel with those who have not trusted in Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20), (3) provide Biblical, God-glorifying encouragement (Romans 1:12) to fellow staff and international partners and affiliates, and (4) actively attend and participate in any small or larger corporate prayer and worship gathering provided by SAT-7 USA.
- Person of character and integrity, trustworthy and reliable.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience successfully raising significant resources ($1k – $25k) from donors annually, including the tracking and reporting of progress towards goals.
- Healthy, affirming relationships with family, spouse, and others.
- Passionate commitment to world missions, specifically Middle East and North Africa, and SAT-7’s mission and ethos.
- Articulate and personable; excellent organizational skills; professional in demeanor and written and oral communication; makes a favorable first impression in terms of appropriate appearance and manner; comfortable relating to a wide variety of people and personalities.
- Utilize SAT-7 donor database (Virtuous) and Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
- Self-starter, capable of working effectively, usually alone, from a home office. Able to plan and conduct trips and implement a personal work schedule.
- Meet weekly with supervisor to review activities and results and discuss both general and individual ministry partner engagements.
- General understanding of the business community and strong track record in developing relationships with donors from various constituencies, including persons of influence and affluence.
- Ability to develop and deliver compelling communications to a variety of audiences and individuals.
- Experience relating skillfully and sensitively to the Christian Church community and international organizations.
- Developing understanding of cross-cultural experience overseas, knowledge of the Middle East and Islam.
- Travel 1-2 times per year for domestic staff meetings and 1-2 times per year to international SAT-7 events.
