Secret Churches find stregnth
As over 60,000 people in Iran downloaded the Bible via a secure app, Telegram®.
Millions are finding the Truth and dedicating their lives to Christ. All because of the actions of the Church. We love because He first loved.
How?
SAT-7 has partnered with several churches in Egypt and Lebanon to provide live recordings of church services. This reaches even the most remote individual to give them an opportunity to "be a part" of a church. Other programs such as Free Souls, which is program in the Kabyle language that ministers to North Africans, helps viewers feel like they are not alone as brave souls share their testimonies. Bible Heroes provides parents a helpful tool in teaching their little ones. This program is a live game show that quizzes viewers on their knowledge of Bible passages. Still other programs, like Dear Jessy, which seeks to encourage believers with Biblical counseling, provides believers a deeper understanding of difficult situations. Regardless of how different these programs seem, they all work together. All to support the church during a time of uncertainty and growth.
Why is supporting the Church of the Middle East fundamental to SAT-7's work?
SAT-7 believes that the Church of the Middle East plays an integral part in the socio-economic condition of the Middle East. Diversity is quintessential to development across all countries and regions.¹ Hence, the role of Christianity in maintaining religious diversity and promoting tolerance is paramount to economic and social development. The presence of Christians promotes a diversity of perspective that encourages critical thinking in society, something needed for economic growth.²
Christianity is also deeply embedded in the cultural history of the Middle East. As a group, Christians have contributed to governments and educational institutions to promote economic growth and social stability. Without the presence of Christian minorities, society risks losing part of their cultural identity.
Consequently, Christians in the region work together to create societies that uphold the rights of everyone and promote religious and cultural tolerance.
How do we help to promote cultural, social, and religious tolerance to encourage the Church?
Through research, SAT-7 strives to create programs, live shows, and audience support services that plants seeds. Seeds of new understanding, tolerance, and healing. Programs like Bible Teachings reach individuals in the safety of their home to learn about the stories of the Bible. Children's programs like AS NEWS, a children's news show, explores the world from a Christian perspective to address misunderstandings and promote tolerance of differences. Still, other programs, like Science and Faith, a program that explores the question "are science and faith enemies or friends?" helps to show the link between other schools of thought and Christianity. All work together to relate with society to bring healing between truth-seekers, non-believers, and believers and promote a better tomorrow economically, socially, and politically.
Every seed we plant is an opportunity to impact lives and change society for the better. Together, we are empowering millions to create a brighter tomorrow.
