Ten-year-old Rita, the youngest choir member of Mar Boulos Church in Baghdad, Iraq, stands out with her exceptional vocal skills. Her little voice of faith is growing in a part of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) where most Christians have immigrated or fled for safety.
Rita and her family love to watch the songs and hymns that SAT-7 KIDS broadcasts. She shares her dream in an interview on SAT-7, “My ambition is to be a professional hymn singer and produce albums of hymns. I want those hymns to give peace to the Christians in Iraq.”
Iraq’s Christian minority has dwindled from 1.4 million in 2003 to just 100,000 today. [Christian Post]* Just think how the Iraqi church could be restored with the innocent hope of more children like Rita.
Be a peacemaker!
In 2019, SAT-7 will produce programs to bridge the generational gap between parents and children, counsel trauma victims, disciple new believers and church leaders, and unite Christians through worship. It’s the prayers and support of fellow believers like you that keep these programs on the air.
Will you show Christ this season with a gift to the ministry of SAT-7?
