SAT-7’s podcast: Unconventional Ministry sits down for an interview with Pastor Jalil Dawood, who came to America as a refugee and currently is a pastor of the Arabic Church of Dallas, TX.
Pastor Dawood is the lead pastor of the Arabic Church of Dallas, TX. He had to flee violence in Iraq at the age of 18 and went to Italy for refuge. He had known about the Lord from a young age but didn’t have a personal relationship with Christ until hearing the Gospel in Italy. He then relocated to America where his brother was living, settling in Dallas, TX. After a few years, he came to be a part of the evangelical church in his community where he now serves as pastor (since 2007). He says how the church gives Arabs a family, not only culturally, but also in Christ. Pastor Dawood started a nonprofit called World Refugee Care and he also was part of a SAT-7 ARABIC program called “Strangers on Earth,” which shares the Gospel in Iraqi dialect.
