Unwrapping Motherhood

Becoming a mother is one of the biggest blessings in life. However, it can feel like a burden for some mothers who feel unsupported. Lama from Egypt contacted SAT-7 to share her story of motherhood and request help from our Viewer Support Team.

Lama said, “My relationship with my kids had been difficult. Even after they went to sleep, I would escape from reality by spending long hours on my phone at night, until I finally fell asleep. I often felt upset with my husband; I expected a lot from him, but he was focused only on his work. This affected my mood, my mental state, and how I reacted to the children.” Trying to be a good mother felt impossible to Lama.

She continued, “I wanted to lower my expectations, care deeply for my kids, raise them properly, and teach them everything useful and healthy, allowing them to enjoy their childhood without chaos or injustice from us. My husband was no longer helping at home, and I felt neglected.” When the walls started to close in on her, Lama reached out to SAT-7 for support, resources, and prayer.

“I want to focus on my spiritual life and my private prayers because God is truly beautiful and worthy of love; He changes and brings comfort in everything,” she said. Following conversations with the SAT-7 Viewer Support Team, Lama described feeling spiritually stronger, practically empowered, and comforted by God’s presence. She shared that she now sees herself as the source of warmth and stability in her home, taking joy in her children’s happiness and finding balance in her marriage. Hearing prayers specifically for her deeply touched her and reinforced her sense of being supported and cared for.
