A Marriage Saved

Marriage is a sacred union created by God. However, this doesn’t mean that there won’t be difficult times throughout any marriage. Gihan,* a viewer from Egypt, shared her story with SAT-7 about her marriage tribulations and how Jesus showed up for her and her husband.

Gihan said, “My husband is a weak believer. He falls in love with someone new all the time. I am tired of this situation. I am unable to forgive him for insulting me, and I pay the price with humiliation and hurt. We’ve been married for 25 years, and this has been happening since we got married.” Her story is like many others.

Gihan continued to share with SAT-7, “I have been experiencing God’s work for 20 years. I have seen Him in trials. I want to see God’s attribute of justice; I want Him to lift my head and save me from injustice. I hold on to the Lord and His promises; He gives me comfort. I trust Him; He is good and truly does not abandon me. There is hope.” While it has been difficult for Gihan in her marriage, she knows God is the only one who can bring her and her husband through these challenges.

“After twenty years of being away from God, my husband suddenly felt he needed God and was suffocated by the world. I found him praying, committed to reading the Bible, attending every church meeting, and constantly playing worship songs. God is changing him. My husband is getting closer to God, and I feel the Lord is with me, holding my hand and supporting me,” Gihan said. The power of prayer changed both her and her husband.
