Life struggles can take time to overcome. This can be especially challenging to experience when you are waiting for a loved one to see the truth and make changes to their dangerous and damaging lifestyle. Nehma, a mother from Egypt, watched her teenage son make mistake after mistake and prayed for him to prevail.

Nehma shared her testimony with SAT-7. She said, “My youngest child is an 18-year-old boy. Unlike his successful siblings, he struggles greatly. He has bad friendships, inappropriate online relationships with girls, problems with teachers, and has been violent at school. He failed academically more than once and became emotionally attached to a girl who negatively influenced him. He is very weak, easily discouraged, irresponsible, and unable to control his emotions.” Nehma took action to get him help.

She continued, “He has been seeing a psychologist who managed to reach him with care, but his free time, bad friends, and lack of early dialogue made things worse. He would rather not do anything with his life except focus on that relationship. We were advised not to confront him directly to avoid stubbornness. We prayed constantly for him.” As challenging as it was, Nehma had to sit back and wait for God’s plan to unfold.

Finally, God delivered her son from the strongholds life had on him. “By God’s grace, my son succeeded despite almost failing again, and he continued in school. God did a great work! My son cut ties with bad friends, started working, became more committed, and continued his studies. He distanced himself from harmful relationships and grew closer to a pure girl who truly cares for him. We glorify God for His faithfulness! He answered prayers we had almost lost hope in. God is good, and His work is wonderful,” Nehma excitedly shared. God’s timing is always perfect.

Thank you for supporting SAT-7 through your prayers and generosity. God is at work in the Middle East and North Africa.
