Imprisoned and Afraid

Imprisonment not only affects the prisoner, but also the lives of those around them. Hala is a wife in Egypt who experienced a distressing time when her husband was detained. His imprisonment left her as a single parent to care for their children, home, and finances by herself. She was fearful, not knowing when her husband would be reunited with their family.

“My husband’s bail was rejected again,” Hala shared. “I am very stressed with the kids, and the situation has become heavy. I know the Lord is good and has His timing, but I can’t wait, and I feel unable to pray or talk about this matter. All my prayers for this issue feel exhausted.”

Hala’s fear, anxiety, and discomfort consumed her life. She reached out to the SAT-7 Viewer Support Team for prayer, guidance, and comfort. The team continued to communicate with her throughout her husband’s detainment.

Later, Hala reached out to the team to share that her husband’s bail had been accepted, and he would soon be released. The team rejoiced with Hala and prayed with her, shared encouraging Scripture, and sent an uplifting video to strengthen her hope in the Lord.

“We thank the Lord, and we thank SAT-7 for your support,” Hala said. “Thank you for your love.”
