When life feels heavy, it is natural to ask difficult questions. Yet even in seasons of disappointment, God invites His children to bring every burden to Him. Mareez, a woman from Egypt, reached out to SAT-7’s Viewer Support Team through social media, carrying a heart full of concerns.
She asked for prayer for her teenage son, that he would come to know Christ and be transformed by God’s love. She also requested prayer for her children’s exam results, worried by discouraging dreams and the uncertainty surrounding their future.
But beneath those requests was an even deeper struggle. “My soul is deeply broken by many burdens,” Mareez shared. “I feel very upset with God because I feel that He has not answered my prayers.”
She described the pain of living in a damaged rental home while longing for a place to call her own. She wondered why others seemed to receive blessings while her family continued to wait. Even after watching her children work hard in school, the results were not what they had hoped for.
“So I ask, ‘Why, Lord?’” she wrote. “Should we continue to thank God in such circumstances?”
The Viewer Support Team welcomed Mareez with compassion, listened carefully to her concerns, and reminded her that God is able to do all things. They shared Scripture, prayed for her family, and encouraged her to keep turning her heart toward the Lord.
Their prayers brought renewed hope. “Amen,” Mareez replied. “I trust in your prayers and in God’s goodness. Thank you for your prayers; I feel supported.”
