Financial hardship can leave us feeling overwhelmed and alone. In those moments, it is easy to wonder if God sees our needs. Sahar’s story is a powerful reminder that He is always at work, even before we see the answer.
Sahar and her husband had been struggling financially since the beginning of the year. As the months passed, the pressure only increased.
“Two days ago, both of us felt much worse, and I started crying,” she shared. “We began to pray and told God, ‘Why do we feel like You have abandoned us?’”
After praying, Sahar listened to a Bible lesson from SAT-7. “It was as if God was speaking to me through this lesson,” she said. “Word for word, it was for me.”
The lesson reminded Sahar that God had not forgotten her. Even before her circumstances changed, her heart was strengthened by His promises.
Later that evening, she and her husband decided they would need to sell a piece of gold and some savings to cover their expenses. But before they could, Sahar’s brother called. “He said, ‘I will lend you money, and you can pay me back when you have it.’”
In an instant, everything changed. “All that burden of helplessness and hardship was lifted from our shoulders,” Sahar said. “It was as if He told me, ‘I am watching over you, and I have a plan for you.’ We didn’t even touch our small savings.”
Sahar’s testimony reminds us that God hears the cries of His children. Sometimes He answers through His Word. Sometimes He provides through the generosity of others. And often, He does both, strengthening our faith while meeting our needs in ways that reveal His perfect timing and unfailing care.
