Seeking forgiveness is not always easy. Sometimes, even after we apologize and do everything we can to make things right, restoration seems out of reach. Yet God sees every step of obedience and works in ways we cannot always see.
Raeef from Egypt found himself in a painful situation after a conflict with his father and brother. “My father and brother are upset with me even though I tried to apologize in many ways,” he shared. “What’s worse is that they have marginalized me from my job.”
Determined to make things right, Raeef met with his father and brother, along with his pastor and fellow believers, to confess his wrongdoing and seek reconciliation. When his efforts appeared unsuccessful, he reached out to SAT-7’s Viewer Support Team for encouragement.
The team listened compassionately, thanked him for his honesty, and commended his humility and willingness to pursue peace. They reminded him of God’s promises, sharing Scriptures about faithfulness, peacemaking, and the rewards that come from obedience. They prayed for him and encouraged him not to lose heart.
Though the situation seemed unresolved, God was still at work.
Later, Raeef shared an exciting update: “I would like to thank the Lord for His love for me and for caring for His wayward son despite my weakness and my lost state. But with Your touch, You brought me back to Your way, to Your light, the light of my life.” Then came the answer to prayer. “Today I returned to my workshop alongside my brother and father, with the help of my heavenly Father.”
Raeef’s story is a powerful reminder that God honors a humble heart. Even in difficult seasons, when reconciliation feels impossible, the Lord can soften hearts, restore relationships, and bring healing. As Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” and Raeef’s testimony shows the beauty of pursuing peace in obedience to God.
