Heartbreak can feel overwhelming, especially when it arrives unexpectedly. In those painful moments, it is easy to wonder if anyone truly understands what we are going through. Renalda, a high school student from Egypt, recently discovered that God was closer than she realized.
Renalda had been in a serious relationship that seemed headed toward engagement. But shortly before her exams, the relationship ended. “I was in a relationship with someone who left me because of what his mother said,” she shared. “He left me before my exams.”
The loss left her feeling lonely and uncertain about the future. Thankfully, a friend encouraged her through the difficult season, helping her focus on her studies and think about positive ways to spend her time. Still, Renalda carried deep pain and questions in her heart.
When she connected with SAT-7’s Viewer Support Team, they listened with compassion and reminded her that God had not abandoned her. They encouraged her to bring her feelings honestly to the Lord, shared Scripture with her, and prayed for her. They also pointed her to SAT-7 youth resources that address healthy relationships and faith.
One message especially resonated with Renalda: the reminder that God sees her pain and remains close to her. “I am truly very grateful that there is someone who listens to me and cares about my pain,” she said. “God feels me, and He is not far from me, and He sees me.”
Looking back, Renalda also began to see God’s hand at work in ways she had not recognized before. “There is something you said that stuck with me,” she shared. “It was about how the relationship could have destroyed me.”
Though the season was painful, Renalda found comfort in knowing she was not alone. Through prayer, Scripture, and caring support, she discovered a powerful truth: even in heartbreak, God sees, cares, and walks beside His children.
Your generosity and prayers are helping viewers like Renalda find hope in the darkness. Thank you for supporting SAT-7.
