“I Feel Hungry for God”

Nothing is guaranteed in this life. What is guaranteed is that God is always with us, and when we are hungry for Him, He will welcome us into His presence. Mirna, a viewer from Egypt, spent time with the SAT-7 Audience Relations Team to explore how she can come closer to God when life feels burdensome.

Mirna shared, “I feel hungry for God. Why can’t I find Him? I’ve been trying for a short while to have a relationship with God and to know Him better, but I feel like I keep starting over.” Fortunately for Mirna, the SAT-7 Audience Relations Team encouraged her to continue to pursue Him and not lose faith.

“There is change happening within me,” Mirna said. “I find joy in talking with you about God, and I appreciate your teaching and prayers for me. I am truly grateful for that. It really touched me to know that if there is weakness within us, the Holy Spirit can revive, renew, give life again, and bring hope.”

When life felt like an endless cycle, Mirna was encouraged to continue pursuing God and her faith. Her life changed because of her perseverance. She said, “I would like to share the change that has occurred in my life: I’m happy because for the past few days, I’ve been committed to my quiet time with the Lord, and I was able to pray without distractions. There was also a difficult situation that happened recently, and I found peace within me.”
