“I Want to Be Free”

Sometimes, the greatest battle is the one hidden deep within the heart. For Rihan, a woman from Algeria, years of choices she regretted left her feeling trapped, ashamed, and far from the life she wanted.

A widow and mother of two, including a child with autism, Rihan reached out to SAT-7’s Viewer Support Team through the Freedom from Sin campaign. “I keep returning to the same sins and living in them, but I truly want to change,” she shared. “I feel lost. … I want to be free.”

Rihan explained that for 10 years she had pursued relationships with men through phone calls and social media. She believed she was searching for love and attention, but the choices left her feeling unworthy of God’s love.

The Viewer Support Team listened without judgment and spoke with her about the human need for love and, above all, the perfect love of God. They shared the story of the Samaritan woman, whose encounter with Jesus brought hope and transformation.

Rihan remembered attending church as a child but said she had never talked with anyone about salvation or prayed to receive Christ. Now, she wanted to know how to pray and begin a genuine relationship with the Lord.

Together, they prayed as Rihan took that step. “The Lord is pure, my sister, and I am dirty. I do not deserve His love,” she said.

The team reminded her of God’s love and encouraged her to spend time with Him each day, read His Word, and allow Scripture to shape her thoughts and life. They also shared Scripture and a link to the Bible.

Rihan came seeking freedom from sin. Through Christ, she is discovering that her past does not place her beyond the reach of God’s grace and love. Thank you for supporting SAT-7 to help reach viewers with the Gospel.
