Journey Back to God

30th October 2026

Sometimes, painful experiences can leave deep wounds that affect not only our relationships with others but also our relationship with God. For Taline from Egypt, the hurt she experienced at home led to anxiety, struggles with her mental health, and a longing to feel close to the Lord again.

Taline described the emotional trauma she experienced because of her parents’ treatment, particularly her father’s harsh words and criticism of her academic performance. When she sought help from her parish priest, she felt unheard. Over time, she became upset with God, questioning why He had allowed these experiences and wondering how she could rebuild her relationship with Him.

“I long to feel God’s presence in my life again,” she shared with SAT-7’s Viewer Support Team.

The team listened compassionately and encouraged Taline to seek support from a specialized counselor to help her process her trauma. They also shared Scripture about her value and identity in God’s eyes, encouraged her to draw near to Jesus, and discussed the biblical story of Nicodemus and the promise of new life in Christ. They prayed together and shared SAT-7 PLUS and an encouraging worship song.

Taline’s response revealed a meaningful step forward in her spiritual journey.

“I prayed from my heart, and I felt that He is still present,” she shared. “I felt everything I used to feel when I was close to Him; the same feeling of safety, the trust that He is hearing me, that I am accepted by Him, loved unconditionally and without pretense, and that He is my Father and I am His daughter.”

For Taline, this moment brought reassurance that she was still loved and welcomed by God.

Her story reminds us that even when pain leaves us feeling distant from the Lord, we can turn to Him again and find hope in His unchanging love. Healing may take time, but no one has to walk through the journey alone.

Thank you for supporting SAT-7 so that viewers like Taline can find guidance and encouragement in their journey with Jesus.
