Sometimes, the desire to draw closer to God begins with a simple and honest question: “How do I find my way back to Him?”
Souheer, a woman from Egypt, contacted SAT-7 because she longed to strengthen her relationship with God but didn’t know where to begin.
“I don’t know how to maintain my relationship with God,” she shared. “There is nothing that encourages me to take steps with God, neither friends nor my close circle. I don’t know how to draw closer to God.”
The Viewer Support Team welcomed Souheer and gave her space to openly share her struggles. They encouraged her in her desire to seek the Lord and reminded her of God’s unconditional love and His willingness to forgive those who turn to Him in repentance.
Through Scripture, they shared the story of Nicodemus and invited Souheer to consider a life-changing relationship with Jesus. They also provided access to the Bible online and SAT-7 Plus, giving her opportunities to continue learning and growing in her faith. She was encouraged to join an online discipleship group for further support.
Souheer responded with a wholehearted decision to follow Christ. “I decided and prayed wholeheartedly,” she said. “Amen to every word.”
She then shared her heartfelt prayer: “Lord, do not leave me to myself, my mind, and my thoughts… Do not leave me to run in the world without You in my life. Help me to love all people and forgive them as You commanded me… and if I fall, be with me. Amen.”
Souheer’s story reminds us that even when we don’t know how to draw near to God, He is already drawing near to us. Through His Word, His people, and His unfailing love, He gently leads searching hearts into deeper relationship with Him.
