Across its channels, SAT-7 is helping parents in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) raise their children with love and wisdom. As parents from all walks of life engage with our talk shows, workshops, and Viewer Support services, they are given the tools they need to positively relate to their children and improve dynamics in the family home.

While some of our parenting programs teach directly from the Bible, others are based on biblical values but presented in a more accessible way. The SAT-7 ARABIC program ADHD Podcast offers much-needed support to viewers from all backgrounds who are parenting children with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Viewers of the show deeply appreciate knowing they are not alone, that others feel their pain and are willing to offer guidance. “I have lived and continue to live the same thing with my children,” said Rosine from Lebanon after watching ADHD Podcast. “It’s such a difficult feeling when they say that no one loves them… but I love them no matter what. Thank you for the wonderful program; it felt like someone was speaking on my behalf.”

Over on SAT-7 TÜRK, Parents Are Asking addresses a wide range of questions relating to child-rearing, while promoting empathy and understanding between the generations.

Now in its fourth season, the program uses an imaginative approach. Well-known SAT-7 TÜRK presenter Nora Yazırlıoğlu – who speaks as a parent – poses fascinating questions to psychologist and expert Dença Kristaporyan, who often uses games and demonstrations to illustrate her answers. These exchanges give parents ideas for creative problem-solving in the home as well as a thorough understanding of topics such as boundaries and discipline, dealing with anxiety and fear, and the effects of bullying and break-ups among young people. “You gave wonderful information, thank you,” said one Facebook user after watching a live stream of Parents Are Asking.

Strengthening Families

Considering the increase in the rate of separation and divorce in Christian families, there is a great need for Bible teaching and friendly support for Christian parents and children. The SAT-7 ARABIC program Naseej is meeting this need by helping Christian families in the MENA overcome daily challenges and build strong bonds between family members. The show’s two-hour episodes are packed full of engaging and informative content, including live discussions, stand-up comedy, expert psychological insights, and Bible teaching.

“An amazing episode!” said Lara from Lebanon after watching Naseej. “The best part is the program’s transparency and simplicity. Naseej allows us to learn practical and realistic lessons that affect everyday life.”

The new SAT-7 PARS program Raising Little Hearts, filmed in partnership with IRR-TV Finland, wants to see a new generation blossom as a result of being rooted in Christ. Presented by child education expert Pooneh Makbandi and her husband, the program teaches Christian values to parents, provides a holistic approach to child development, and addresses a range of modern parenting challenges.

“A lot of Persian-speaking parents want to raise their children according to Christian values and the teachings of the Bible,” explains Nader Taghizadeh, producer of Raising Little Hearts. “The program offers straightforward and helpful advice based on Scripture for new believers, particularly parents navigating their faith alone or under pressure.” Raising Little Hearts is set to be broadcast this summer.
