EASTON, MARYLAND – SAT-7 USA announces the appointment of Rebecca Lucas as Vice President of Development and Chief Development Officer, effective September 29, 2025.
Rebecca Lucas
Lucas has served with SAT-7 in various roles since 2014, beginning in the United Kingdom office and later supporting communications and fundraising for the SAT-7 International Office in Cyprus before joining SAT-7 USA in 2022. Before SAT-7, Lucas worked with an international aid agency for persecuted Christians and as an executive editor in Christian publishing.
A believer since age 20, Lucas is deeply encouraged and inspired by God’s transformative work in the Middle East and North Africa. She is passionate about inviting American believers to partner alongside our Middle Eastern brothers and sisters in what He is doing.
In the new role, she will oversee a portfolio of ministry partners and provide strategic leadership to the Development team. Lucas joins the Management Team led by SAT-7 USA President John Cerniglia.
“I am deeply honored and grateful to be entrusted with this role,” she said. “I am excited to help SAT-7 grow, enabled by the incredible generosity and faithfulness of our U.S. ministry partners, so that more lives can be transformed across the Middle East and North Africa.”
President Cerniglia commented, “Rebecca brings spiritual maturity, strategic vision, and trusted relationship-building to the role. This leadership will strengthen the team and advance the mission.”
Lucas holds a B.A. and M.A. in English and lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband and two children.
SAT-7 USA is the American development and communications arm of SAT-7 International, a multimedia ministry based in Cyprus producing Christian programming in Arabic, Persian, and Turkish across 25 countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
In the past, I didn’t believe in God, but recently I was baptized. My mother-in-law is not a Christian but supported me in becoming a Christian. We were both watching your channel when you invited us for a prayer. And she lifted up her hands and prayed with you. I was very surprised and impressed. You are making really good and effective programs. The Lord works in places you cannot always see."
