What Kind of Witness Are You?

15th July 2025

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

In a world filled with noise, confusion, and brokenness, the call to be a witness for Christ has never been more important – or more urgent. But we are not alone in this call. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would come to give us power – not for prestige, comfort, or even personal growth alone, but to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).

To witness means more than just telling a story. Biblically, a witness is someone who gives testimony to truth –someone whose life, even in hardship, reflects the reality of Christ. The Greek word for “witness” is martys, the same root as the word “martyr.” This reminds us that bearing witness is a sacred, often costly calling. Yet it’s also a beautiful privilege – to audibly and visibly reflect God’s love and truth through our words, relationships, and actions.

Jesus Himself modeled this beautifully. In Luke 10, He sent out His followers with four instructions: Go, Eat, Heal, and Tell. He invited them to go with intention, build relationships, serve with compassion, and share the hope of God’s Kingdom. And that pattern still guides us today.

Your faithful partnership with SAT-7 is helping thousands across the Middle East and North Africa encounter this hope. Through satellite TV and digital media, believers are empowered to share their testimony. New Christians are learning how to serve and tell others about Christ. Isolated Believers are discovering they belong in the family of God.

You are part of this story.

Because of you, people are hearing the Good News and seeing lives transformed. The Holy Spirit is at work, drawing people to Jesus in places where traditional outreach is often impossible. Each program, testimony, and conversation is a living witness – a firsthand account of the transforming love of Christ.

So thank you. Thank you for being a witness through your giving, your prayers, and your heart for this ministry. You are helping make God’s love visible where it’s needed most.

Blessings,
