When the human body becomes riddled with sickness, it can be a frightening realization that life on this earth is fragile and uncertain. Yasmin from Iran shared her testimony about a time in her life when she thought a sickness would take her life. She never lost faith, even through the scary moments.

Yasmin said, “I came down with an illness, and I was very unwell with it. My lungs were 60% affected, and my condition was getting worse. Even with an oxygen supply, I was unable to breathe.” Yasmin was faced with an impossible situation.

She continued, “I committed myself into the hands of the Lord and told Him, ‘I am ready to come to You, my Lord.’ I was not thinking about anything else until one night, as I was in a great deal of pain and breathing with difficulty, all of a sudden, I felt God’s presence. I felt a warm hand on my neck, and thinking it was the nurse, I opened my eyes, but no one was there. Hallelujah, all glory to the name of Jesus Christ. The Lord healed me and brought me through!”

When Yasmin accepted that these could be her last moments on earth, prayer was the key. “After I came back home from the hospital, I still had a tumor in my neck for which I had to take steroids daily, which made me feel very unwell. Still, I continued to stand in prayer and to call on the name of Jesus, and that tumor has completely disappeared. Even though the doctors had no hope, the Lord brought me through the shadow of death – hallelujah!” Amen.

Thank you for helping make God’s love visible to viewers like Yasmin in the Middle East and North Africa. In times of darkness, the Gospel can bring light.
