For many believers in the Middle East and North Africa, SAT-7 is their sole connection to other Christians, worship services, and sound Bible teaching. Given that nearly 97% of the people in the region are not Christians and many countries are closed to the Gospel, many believers may not even know another Christian. In many countries, Christians will face persecution by attending a public church meeting, and most churches in closed countries are house churches led by dedicated Christians who have limited training.
