There is a desperate need for basic education in the Middle East and North Africa for children and adults who lacked educational opportunities growing up. Many children cannot attend school due to poverty, displacement in refugee camps, conflicts, and war. The lack of education also traps illiterate parents and their families in the vicious cycle of poverty. SAT-7 makes God’s love visible by providing for needs now—not only for eternity.

Consistent with Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 25:34-40 to provide help to the “least of these,” SAT-7’s My School program offers instruction in reading, math, and language skills. The five seasons of My School are available to watch on satellite TV, online, and video-on-demand. Providing a basic education helps prepare children for opportunities that will ensure enough income to lift them out of grinding poverty.

We hear from parents who readily admit that even though they were displaced because of conflict, their children continued watching and learning. SAT-7 programs are also successfully equipping adults for quality jobs that help them provide for their families for the first time in their lives. And as children and parents connect with SAT-7’s educational programs, many check out Gospel-centered shows and learn about Jesus.
