“Breathless with Trembling Legs”

Being a father comes with many responsibilities, including the responsibilities no one else sees behind the scenes. Providing food, shelter, and love are just the basics when it comes to caring for children. However, caring for their souls through faith is an invisible yet most important responsibility of being a parent. Damoun*, a father and viewer from Iran, contacted SAT-7 to share his testimony about being saved by Jesus Christ and how it has impacted his daughter.

Damoun shared, “Four years ago, I was exhausted, defeated, and a complete loser.” Life had become difficult for him, and it was impacting the way he was living and raising his daughter.

Fortunately, Damoun found hope. “One incredible and miraculous night, I met Christ and, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, I was saved. Breathless and with trembling legs, I stepped forward in faith through the power and mercy of the Lord,” he said. His life was transformed.

“I began to move step-by-step alongside Jesus Christ, and the strength of Jesus came upon my weak legs. Breath by breath, I was transformed by Jesus and found I was a new creation. Jesus changed my heart,” Damoun shared. His experience following Jesus created a change within him that he didn’t anticipate. However, this was better than he could have imagined.

Damoun continued, “Today, I am victorious in the Lord. My daughter takes pride in having a Christian father. In my family, everyone believes in the Lord Jesus.” There is no better reward than knowing your children are following Christ through your example of faithfulness.
