When a loved one faces a medical crisis, fear and uncertainty can feel overwhelming. In those moments, prayer can remind us that we do not face the storm alone.
Timo, a man from Syria, reached out to SAT-7’s Viewer Support Team asking for prayer for his seven-year-old niece. She had undergone a four-hour surgery to repair a hole in her heart. Doctors had requested 11 bags of blood, and after the surgery, she began experiencing bleeding.
Timo asked believers to pray in the name of Jesus. The Viewer Support Team responded with compassion, praying with Timo and asking the Lord to strengthen and sustain his young niece. Several days later, the team followed up to see how she was doing.
Timo’s response brought wonderful news. “May the peace of Christ be with you and in your hearts,” he wrote. “We thank the Lord that she was discharged from the hospital and that her condition is stable. We thank God.”
After the fear and uncertainty surrounding his niece’s surgery, Timo had a reason to praise God for His care.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Viewer Support Team for walking alongside his family during such a difficult time, praying that the Lord would bless them with “power, wisdom, and deep spiritual understanding.”
Timo’s testimony reminds us of the precious gift of prayer. When circumstances are frightening, and answers are uncertain, believers can come together before God, trusting Him with the people they love. And when the storm begins to pass, there is always another opportunity to say, “We thank God.”
Through SAT-7’s Viewer Support ministry, Timo was reminded that he and his family were not carrying their burden alone. His request became an opportunity for believers to stand with him in prayer, and his niece’s recovery became a reason to celebrate God’s goodness. Thank you for supporting SAT-7.
