Meelad, a viewer from Jordan, shares her life testimony and how God worked miracles in her family. As a young girl, she attended Sunday school, longed for God, and wanted to spend time with Him. However, after she became married, life seemed to fall apart.

In 2004, Meelad left her home country of Iraq and went to Jordan where she married her husband. Meelad shared, “As though being in a foreign country and ignorant of the customs and traditions of Jordan wasn’t enough, I discovered that my husband had drinking and smoking problems. He smoked hash at the apartment. It was a shocking situation. I started asking God, ‘Why did you bring me here? Is it to humiliate me? Why?’”

The next decade of Meelad’s life became even more difficult. “In 2014, ten years later, with two children, I wanted to get a divorce because of all the addiction problems. My children were beaten. They never enjoyed feasts or had a normal home where they could grow up. Christmas and Easter came with more drinking and more abuse! That year, I had a big fight with my husband, and he beat me. It was then that I took my children and ran away,” Meelad said.

Though Meelad had nowhere to go, she trusted that God would provide for her and her children. “God provided a friend in Jordan who was like an angel. She had always been so close to me that I could talk to her about everything I went through. I remember crying out to God at this difficult time to either solve my problems or let me die! I was unable to live one more day like that.”

When it seemed like she couldn’t take anymore, Meelad turned to God. His plan for her was more than she could have ever expected. She said, “God gave me a promise in 2014 to be with me and to let me taste His love amidst all the struggles, and indeed, in 2016, my husband completely changed. Doctors told him that he experienced a miracle. They wondered how he managed to quit all his addictions, and my husband answered that it wasn’t him, it was God! God worked miracles on my family’s behalf. He turned our family around for the best.”

Meelad trusted God through all of her hardships. Though she could not see the plan He had for her life, she trusted Him. “God’s promises came to pass. I am here to testify of His greatness and mercy. It is by His blessings and in His goodness that we live!”
