The Bible tells us that we will experience trials and tribulations in life. This is meant to restore, confirm, and strengthen us (1 Peter 5:10). However, that doesn’t mean the challenges we face in life are easy to endure. Sepideh*, a viewer from Iran, contacted SAT-7 to share her testimony about experiencing suffering while still clinging to faith.

Sepideh shared, “We faced many crises last year, including my little grandson’s illness, the loss of a loved one, a court ruling against us because of my husband’s faith in Christ, unemployment, and financial problems. We overcame these challenges with hope in God’s love, through prayer, and by practicing patience. Some challenges continue, but we are moving on in faith.” When it feels as though life is fighting against us, God is always with us.

She continued, “Thank God we have the living Lord, and we believe in His love and affection towards us. Reading the Word and praying, as well as the collective prayers of other believers, have been a great help to us.”

As if life weren’t complicated enough, Sepideh also had to face the potential of losing relationships. “An important thing about the difficult times we have been through is that we were criticized by family and friends for abandoning past beliefs. Sometimes we feared that the relationships we had with our loved ones might come to an end, but our faith was stronger,” she said.

Sepideh kept her faith in God, believing that He would see her and her husband through all of these challenges. “With God’s help and by trusting in Him, we overcame these things,” praised Sepideh.

Please continue to pray for viewers like Sepideh who live in an area where Christianity is not accepted, therefore isolating them from friends and family. Your support helps viewers in the MENA come to know Christ and experience fellowship.
