Psalm 23 Leads to Salvation

19th June 2025

Learning about Jesus for the first time is an experience unlike any other. Shida, a viewer from Iran, contacted SAT-7 to share her story of how she came to accept Christ into her heart. While she had experienced other cultures in her life, she had never known a love like the one she found in Him.

Shida shared, “I grew up in Tehran. At the age of 18, I cared for a Jewish woman whose husband had suffered a stroke and was bedridden. At that time, some of her behaviors were interesting and new to me. This piqued my curiosity. I became closer to her and researched more. It didn’t lead to my salvation, but it did lead me to seek the truth.” The Holy Spirit began something in Shida during this time.

She continued, “When I first opened the Bible, the first page I read was Psalm 23: ‘The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want…’ My heart was deeply touched, and at that moment, I received salvation. Thank God, my spouse also accepted salvation and invited Christ into his heart.” Shida’s faith led her to freedom and salvation.

“I lived with a Jew, I lived with a Muslim, but I only met one Christian pastor, and that was enough for me to give my heart to Christ. Since that day, my life changed; I found true peace, and I’m no longer in need of anything, for my God loves me, and my identity is in Christ. This story is from 25 years ago,” she shared. True love comes from a relationship with Jesus. That is exactly what Shida found all those years ago and continues to experience in her life today.

Please pray for viewers like Shida who desire the truth. Your support of SAT-7 helps share the Gospel with those in the MENA and brings them to Christ.
