The Concept of Pain

2nd June 2025

When you think of pain, it’s easy to recognize only physical pain as a point of suffering. However, spiritual pain can be just as debilitating. The Lord promises in the book of Revelation that pain and suffering will be no more in His kingdom. Until then, viewers like Kamyab from Iran share their stories of pain and how the pain leads them to Jesus.

Kamyab shared, “When I was seven years old, we lived in a village in Iran with very few resources. During those years, due to a concussion, I experienced severe pain. I would sit up to sleep at night, and even breathing was painful for me. I had no medication, and no one paid attention.” Living in constant physical pain with no help can feel like being imprisoned in your own body. Thankfully, Kamyab didn’t give up.

“During pain and helplessness, I heard a voice within me: ‘Jesus, I will bless you for this pain.’ That voice was imprinted in my being. At that time, I had no knowledge of Jesus. Later, I realized that voice was the voice of grace. Years passed until, at the age of 35, I came to faith in Jesus Christ,” he said. Jesus can use anyone at any time for His glory.

Accepting Jesus into his life changed the way Kamyab experienced his pain. He shared, “I understood that Christ is not only our Savior but also the only one who reconciles us with the concept of pain. Pain is not merely a physical issue; it has a spiritual and divine dimension. Christ, through His cross, revealed to us the true meaning of pain.”

He further emphasized his testimony of pain and accepting Jesus into his heart. Kamyab said, “Today, I live with my pains, not with hatred or fear, but with hope. I do not hide my pains; rather, I embrace them because they foster my spiritual growth. This understanding is only possible through the Holy Spirit and in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.” Amen!

Please pray that viewers like Kamyab will focus on Jesus during times of immense pain and suffering. Your prayers help viewers hold onto hope.
