When it comes to finances, many people will do whatever it takes to secure their financial future. However, there is no guarantee that what you have won’t be taken away. In a testimony by Faranak, a viewer from Iran, she shares how she became at peace with losing her financial security.

Faranak shared, “Last year, someone defrauded me of $24,000. The stress and anxiety I experienced cannot be quantified.” Living in Iran, where the poverty rate is over 30% of all Iranian households, Faranak was able to keep her family financially secure with her savings. When she fell victim to deception, she felt hopeless.

Thankfully, Faranak turned to God in her time of distress. “I sought refuge in God and depended on Him alone. The person who defrauded me is now out of my life,” she shared.  As devastating as this experience was to Faranak, she felt peace. She said, “Although I was hit hard and suffered financial losses, I thank God for restoring peace to me and my family. I am very grateful to Him.”

It is human nature to feel negative emotions when we experience hardships. Faranak turned those feelings of anger, anxiety, and doubt into peace because she placed her faith in God. “The Holy Spirit has promised that if I trust in Him, He will compensate for the years the locusts have eaten,” said Faranak.

Please pray for viewers like Faranak. May we all experience the peace she embraced during a crisis because of our faith in Jesus Christ.
