Freed from Addiction

Addiction can have a hold on our lives that prevents us from living freely with Jesus. Thankfully, we are not defined by our challenges and can have salvation through Christ. Mani from Iran shared his story with SAT-7. His story is one of addiction that led to chaos, something many humans have experienced.

Mani shared, “After months of addiction to drugs, I developed psychological problems that lasted four years. Instead of being given medical treatment, I was taken to rehab.” Addiction quickly took over Mani’s life.

He continued, “Things got worse to the extent that I was being tormented continuously by evil spirits, and I saw death approaching. I was mentally ill, and evil spirits kept whispering in my ear that Jesus would be defeated. Those were very difficult days.” When all hope felt lost, Mani turned his focus to spiritual healing by learning more about the Bible.

“Watching Christian satellite programs, such as SAT-7, I understood that the true word of God is in the Bible. I didn’t know much about Christianity, but I grew in my understanding, and I became a Christian. God was so merciful to me. He gave me the gift of prayer. He saved me,” Mani shared. The ultimate healing is through Jesus.
