When bad things happen in our lives, we wonder why God allowed them to occur. We may never know the answer to that question, but we can believe that human actions never thwart God’s will. Yasman from Iran shared her story with SAT-7 about a time when something happened to her that changed her life.

Yasman shared, “When I was a child, a bad thing happened to me. As a result, I became depressed. I read many psychology books, but I did not become well. I tried to live with God. Despite my efforts, I still did not feel better. Finally, I concluded that there was no God.” During this time in her life, Yasman felt hurt and distant from God.

She continued, “My psychological state deteriorated, and I became even more depressed. I spoke to God and said to Him, ‘If you are there, come and enter my life, change how I am feeling and my life altogether, otherwise I will take my own life.’ I gave God a few days, but I did not believe that I would receive an answer. I intended to go ahead with my suicide plan.” The pain she felt was overwhelming, and Yasman believed she could no longer live with it.

“But I did receive an answer. I had had many issues, one of which was that if there is a God, I must be able to see Him and understand Him. I was given the Gospel by a person living in another province. In the message, they told me that Jesus is the face of the unseen living God. When I heard this message, I believed. I prayed and was saved. After that, everything changed for me. I looked at life with new eyes. All became well, and I was freed from depression,” she said. In what she believed to be her very last days on Earth, Yasman received life-changing news from a stranger.

In Yasman’s final comment, she said, “The Lord gave me a vision of Christ in Heaven with His arms held open, inviting me into His embrace. I believe that Jesus is the only way of salvation.” Amen!

God is at work in the Middle East and North Africa. Your prayers and support are helping SAT-7 share the Gospel with viewers like Yasman. Thank you!
